    The Story:
    Carla Moran (Hershey) awakens one night to find herself being beaten and attacked by an unseen presence. Terrified of what's happening to her, and shunned by friends and family who think she's lost her mind, she seeks help from a parapsychologist Dr Sneiderman (Ron Silver). The researchers soon discover that an evil spiritual force has been drawn to Carla and is responsible for the violent attacks. The question is how do they stop it?
    Comment:
    Frank De Felitta adapted his 1978 novel as the script of this film - both the novel and the film being loosely based on the 1974 'Doris Bither' case which occurred in Culver City, California. This 1982 gem from director Sidney Furie is frequently under-rated - perhaps because of the violent content. But it may be one of the best horror movies of the 80's. It has great tension that starts at the opening scenes - it successfully grabs you and doesn't let go. Not to be missed.
    New, factory sealed disk case and label imported from Australia. Presented in widescreen 2.35:1 screen format with film running time is 125 minutes - the longest and best print of this film available; with English audio and no subtitles. This movie-on-demand DVD disc is NTSC format and designed to play on DVD players in North America. It will probably not play on PlayStatons or similar game devices.
